Forming a kicker at the base of your underpin has always been an important part of underpinning construction. Conventional timber formwork has a great tendency to lift when wet concrete is installed, fixing the formwork to the kicker is the best way to stop this happening.
Formwork systems use the kicker in two ways; firstly, fixing our anti-lift bar to the kicker allows fine adjustment to the height of your formation work as well as holding it in position through the pouring process.
